We should definitely take their guns away, dismantling the right to bear arms

The U.S. is the only country in the world with a right to keep and bear arms with no constitutional restrictions.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Second Amendment

In the past, and currently, I have observed quite a bit of commentary that says the Second Amendment doesn’t allow you to murder people, and that’s a misinterpretation.

In District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008) held (5–4) that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to possess firearms independent of service in a state militia and to use firearms for traditionally lawful purposes, including self-defense within the home.

The Second Amendment exists specifically so you can murder people if you need to, Matthew. It exists to harm and control people on U.S. soil. The Second Amendment has NOTHING to do with hunting. Lots of countries allow hunting without having a murder-is-cool-if-you-offended me clause in their Constitution.

No where in the entire world does the citizenry have such unfettered access to guns as white men in the U.S.

The narrative of the Second Amendment empowers all white men, but most dangerously empowers anyone with a messianic-grade superiority complex.

The Second Amendment is not for Chicanos, Native, Asian American, or Black people in fact the Black Codes spelled that out.

Former slaves were forbidden to carry firearms or to testify in court, except in cases concerning other [B]lacks.

Black people with legal guns, regularly are murdered with institutional support when they attempt to use those legal guns.

The founding fathers also used the Second Amendment to actively murder Native Americans and steal their land.

Although some say that the famous phrase “The only good Indian is a dead Indian” is attributed to General Sheridan of Civil War fame, its original creation goes back to American Colonial times.

2011, Jamie K Oxendine, “American Indians and the Second Amendment,” PowWows.

My stance against the Second Amendment is leftist.

I’m interpreting the Second Amendment for what it is. I am interpreting it for its roots and reason of existence. Only a sadist would support its continuance. The Second Amendment individualizes white hegemony in state violence. It needs to be abolished.

The big tent of progressives keep saying, “We’re not taking away your guns.”

Why are we not taking away their guns? We should take away the guns of people who have dreams of murdering human beings for failing in some imaginary standard. Standards fed to them via dog whistles by the wealthy using white supremacists to control society with stochastic terrorism. As a society, why would we allow such a person to have a gun? Why are we Constitutionally protecting individuals who want to murder?

There are even extra laws to protect white men who murder to preserve white hegemony, “Stand Your Ground” is one of those laws.

In July 2018, near Clearwater, Florida, 28-year-old Markeis McGlockton was killed in front of his high school sweetheart and their three young children by a man who claimed that he was standing his ground.

Markeis was unarmed and Black. His shooter was armed and white. The fatal shooting of Markeis McGlockton represents just one of many tragedies in which a dangerous transformation of the law of self-defense— which proponents have branded as “Stand Your Ground”—has been used to justify murderous vigilantism, especially against Black men.

Stand Your Ground” kills. How these NRA-backed Laws Promote Racist Violence

Analysis shows that “Stand Your Ground” laws—currently enacted in 27 states—remove the civilized obligation to de-escalate a confrontation and avoid using lethal force in public by stepping away (or “retreating”) when it is safe to do so.

I think that is a problem. Should we not do something about that?

For the average, Second Amendment enthusiast harming white people is worth it if it means they get to keep and have access to the gun to kill the imaginary (fill in the blank minority) uprising in their head. Harming white children is worth it if they can continue to have access to guns to murder the woman they feel disrespected their manhood.

Mass shootings, even when the victims are predominantly white, are still part of white supremacy. White supremacy is completely fine with harming individual white people in defense of white supremacy.

White men empowered by the Second Amendment will harm other white people. They truly believe if a person is not a Republican or on the right or some esoteric brand of individualism, they are the potential enemy that might take away their rights, like Abraham Lincoln and the Union Army who took away their forefathers’ property. Their slaves, Black people.

For many white supremacists the gun is an extension and symbol of their prior “ownership” of the Black people that were stolen from them by white northerners.

National Park Service, law that show how Black people were viewed as literal property.

And these individuals have no problem killing white people in defense of those ideals. The Civil War is a bloody demonstration of that fact.

And even if you’re not progressive, you wouldn’t mind taking one for the team, right?

Dying for white supremacy is a U.S. tradition. Let us stop doing that. U.S. exceptionalism is not real.
